The occasion and date have not been identified, but since both the boat and the Residency are flying the Zanzibar flag, it is likely that this is a visit by the Sultan (Y30468A/18-20, 22-28 and 42-43 also deal with the same event). Sultan Hamoud bin Mahomed (Sultan 1896-1902) visited Lamu for a holiday from...
